Be-ginning

Hi Everyone,

I am back in hospital, my body had swelled and I had to come by ambulance. It has not been the best of times. This is the first time in days I have felt comfortable, the nurses at St James in Leeds are amazing, there so lovely and really have been looking after me.

Not sure if I will get more ill and have to stop this blog. I just wanted to say, thank you so much for reading, it had helped me so much and I continue to get lovely messages from people all over the world that read it.

I wanted to publish this as I wrote it weeks ago, and it maybe very rough around the edges, hope you for give me.

So far in the last few weeks I have written blog entry with titles like:

Be Successful (How to live successfully as you can, and that doesn’t mean reaching for goals but enjoying your surrounding while trying to reach them)
Be unstoppable (Not letting you, or your inner-voice, or others stop what you want to do in life)
Be unbreakable (A basis all of the above, hot to become stronger and do what you want to do)
But I have not really put how to attempt to achieve this. Well, hopefully this blog piece will help a little on track.

So now its time to start Be-ginning.

I have been very lucky in the past few weeks to speak to some world leading groups and organisations and people who show how to get in a mental state to start to achieve this.

With new technology we now have easer access to things like meditation. Meditation used to be seen with a new age angle, slightly hairy-fariy, bell ringing, sat on the floor burning josh-sticks. But down to technology, views are changing on this.

Here are some I highly recommend.

Tracy Woods is an Hypnotherapist from Rotherham. While I was on chemotherapy, Tracy used her skill via her iPad and FaceTime to help me with my sickness. Did it work? Well, I always fell asleep! but it was the only time I was not as sick when Tracy Hypnotised me. Rob was shocked how it worked. Tracy is great for a more One 2 One service and can create a package round your needs.

I have now stated using different treatments and other techniques using meditation and hypnotherapy. Due to this blog I have been very lucky to have free subscription to the best and I can now cherry pick and recommend the ones which have really worked.

Headspace is meditation made simple. Learn online, when you want, wherever you are, in just 10 minutes a day. It takes away all the old fashioned thoughts on what meditation was marketed as and replaced in a more friendly package. Headspace is great!

ANDY PUDDICOMBE

Expertise helps you guide though the Headspace movement step by step: Here Andy is talking on one of the great thought-provoking TED talks.

Chel Hamilton has not only created over 2 million listeners on her free podcasts which are available on Spotify but also iTunes and Android, and she doesn’t charge for her amazing  Meditation Minis Podcast today packages. Chel makes you feel she is taking you by the hand and helping you through each of the 10 minutes.  You can dip in to any of the podcasts all ranging from  kicking anxiety to having self doubt, and negative thinking to the curb.

Calm is a mixture of all of the above.

In Calm you can choose what type of meditation you want, do you want it to help you sleep or simply breath or a full step programme to meditation designed around your needs, you can also choose how many minutes.

All the meditation recommended above have there own personality and they all offer free segments so you can choose which one is right for you, because not all of them will be. But the one connection is, they all can be done easily and quickly meaning that you can then move on to improve our lives, and thats the reason you are doing the mediation in the first place.

I try and meditate on a morning and on a night. If I need any pick me ups I also (mentioned earlier on this blog) the highly recommend the TED talks:

https://www.ted.com/talks

About TED. TED is a nonpartisan nonprofit devoted to spreading ideas, usually in the form of short, powerful talks. TED began in 1984 as a conference where Technology, Entertainment and Design converged, and today covers almost all topics — from science to business to global issues — in more than 110 languages.

Whatever you choose, these are great paths just to help you nudge towards a more positive lifestyle.

Let me know what you think!
